The program communicates what you want to do and is written using the SAS language. probably the best book for SAS programming neonates. The book cannot cover every detail of SAS but it covers the basically exceptionally well.

I still refer to it occasionally. Her experience managing large databases, teaching SAS software classes, and writing about SAS inspired her to write a book that is both informative and fun to read. Slaughter. The author, Lora D. Delwiche, has written other SAS guides that I liked more than the Primer. Good introduction to the SAS programming language. I read this when I was programming (I guess that is obvious).

My personal favorite? Very happy with purchase. Since then, she has used SAS in a variety of business and academic settings. With SAS, you use statements to write a series of instructions called a SAS program. But it is very good for teaching a person how to read in the data, manipulate the data, and output data or results. However, I found that this book could go into more depth on different types of examples and more complex applicable sub-statements (or perhaps have a different arrangement of the book layout so that related subjects are next to each other). A classic that just keeps getting better, The Little SAS Book is essential for anyone learning SAS programming.

The book comes in handy when studying for the SAS Base Exam. The explanations are far too informal for a manual. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. This book is terrific. It's a resource not just to get you started, but one you will return to as you continue to improve your programming skills. They really taught me the basics.
