The bread is out of this world and the butter cries out to be added with excess. We opted for the tasting menu and every dish was on point. honey and lavendar duck. The lavendar duch was also cooked to perfection. FOOD

The dessert are on a different level and the milk and honey is an instant classic. Others ordered the foie gras which was also very good. I really appreciate the work and knowledge that goes into good service having been brought up with that background and the staff were of course highly trained. Claridges we miss you. Thank you for bringing joy in...this time of of stress and worry. cooking of the NoMad, with some old-school British Claridges charm. Stepping onto the London restaurant scene, Davies and Brook sees chef Daniel Humm come full circle. We rank these hotels, restaurants, and attractions by balancing reviews from our members with how close they are to this location. I opted for the black cod under recommendation by the waiting staff but whilst delicious found this to be no better than what is already on offer by Roka or Nobu. I'd never seen falafel on a fine dining menu before but it tasted delicious. Thank you at all the team. This is a real "special occasion" restaurant. It has long-standing connections with royalty that have led to it sometimes being referred to as an "annexe to Buckingham Palace ".
I’m unclear why it’s on the menu at all of an establishment like this that I assumed would have it’s own signature creations not just mimic popular ones. The truffle and foie gras stuffed under the skin of the breast feels so decadent and the creamy leg meat is rich and moist. This is a real "special occasion" restaurant. The frief chicken .Very cleverly put together. It’s up there with the best! The two ‘amuse bouches’ we were given both were...heavily mushroom based as was also the mushroom glazed butter (mushrooms followed by mushrooms with mushroom butter). It is almost clumsy presenting a huge roll with a little delicate dish. Davies and Brook serves up an internationally inspired menu that brings Humm’s influences from America, Europe and beyond, while highlighting British seasonality. The chef Daniel Humm is now our number ONE. It was attempted on a third occasion (pudding) but the 3 staff members reached for plates realised 2 were still eating and turned away. We were taken into the kitchen and met the Exec chef and the team.
I just hope you are able to reopen by then !
For mains, the three of us shared one whole chicken (for two) and the (also very famous and fondly rememebered!)
