Regardless, this falls have quickly become one of my favorites in Western Pennsylvania. I cannot seem to find a definitive name on these, nor find much information on them. You can barely see the two rope swings and swimming hole on the left side. Anyone know how to provide a beter link o the image so that it expands to provide more detail? I would not recommend rafting or kayaking this section without some experience, and without having scouted the area first, because there are a ton of obstructions and things caught up in the creek bed, in addition to giant boulders.

These are called Buttermilk Falls, but there is another set of falls in Armstrong County that is given this name. Jackson Falls is about 40 miles to the north west. This creek is a great place for all sorts of recreation. The scale of this photo doesn't really do this oasis justice. I've named them Buttermilk Falls Armstrong West, since this is west of the other set in Armstrong County.

Buttermilk Falls is located at 570 Valley Brook Rd, New Florence, PA 15944. Paint Falls is about 25 miles to the south east. The creek is a major tributary to the Allegheny River and it flows from Indiana County and into Armstrong County.
