Is there a new build number to confirm? I scheduled a meeting in a Channel a couple days ago and most of the members of the Team have reported that it is showing up on their Calendar as an invite.

Has anyone experience this issue, and found a fix for this? Thanks, Adam. Thank you so much, it worked! This is most definitely a firewall issue. I waited a few minutes and scheduled a new Teams Meeting in a channel (again not adding anyone to the 'Invite' section).
Same with me.....just installed Teams and doesn't reflect my Outlook contacts or Calendar. on
Meeting chats are different than 1:1 chat. 03:32 AM. Leave it to Msft to screw up something so basic.
No other participants experienced problems.
Glad I'm not the only one confused at this approach. Is there an improved "group calendar integration" coming to Teams (I really hope so, because having only a day-at-a-time view really stinks)? Hello I would like to ask for a help I think im having problems with my Microsoft teams account ? I'm on an MS Surface Pro using Windows 10. From there you can: Join the meeting. We would have expected that if SFB scheduled meetings work then so should Teams and have assumed it is an issue with the beta nature of the product. Please see the attached screenshot for reference.
You can still join a Teams meeting. Since that produced the desired result, I recommended it to others who reported similar success in the meeting invite being sent.
We've enabled MS Teams on our 365 business account and have been investigating its suitablility for communications between our teams.
Re: Meeting Invite not sent for Teams Meeting in Channel? Empowering technologists to achieve more by humanizing tech.
Weirdly, the meeting _does_ appear in my Outlook App (Android) and in Outlook online. @adam deltinger how should they subscribe to this from within Teams?
In order for the team members to get the calendar invites (and other group emails), they must be subscribed as mentioned above.
I should've mentioned at in the OP - the issue i'm having is in Outlook for Mac v16.26 (19060901) so maybe it's specific to that? This is a step backwards in functionality. Now when you schedule a meeting in a channel, all team members will get an invite to their inbox.

When using Teams and creating a meeting in a channel, there is no such checkbox.

So I cannot change any settings. 02:21 AM Or is there a way to add a group invite to a channel from my contacts and not have to add them individually so they will receive a email notification?
Meeting Invite not sent for Teams Meeting in Channel?
August 19, 2020, by One might assume (as I did) that the default behavior is to send an invite to all of the Team members; this is not the case.
But if you are scheduling a meeting using team as I did below. Hi Linus, thanks for your quick reply.

One might theorize that it may be tied to the "subscribe" or "follow" action in the Group (e.g.

In other words, if you create the Team, add the members, then go to the Group settings and check that box, it will not go back and subscribe existing members. Strangely it does work inside the "Chat" pane with 1:1 meetings. on When I click "About" in Teams this is what I see below.
Actually, everyone who has replied has reported that, but a lot of members have not replied (it's a public group with several dozen members). I need this for school. I scheduled a meeting in Teams but the meeting was not added to my Outlook calendar (even though it was added to the invitees calendar) - is this expected behaviour?
The link you need is the ‘Join Microsoft Teams Meeting‘ which you will need to copy from the description.
We have found the setting that will send meeting requests again: - choose "receive only replies to you and group events". We have him using 1.0.00.28451 x64 and on our company VPN.

So, is there some way to do this that I'm overlooking? and the screen you see below "Select a channel to meet in" this would act as a group and automatically send the invite to the group of people in the channel. Finally, when using Outlook (desktop, 2016, for Windows), there is a "Teams Add-in" that lets you add a Teams meeting to any meeting, but this doesn't let you specify the Team/Channel in which the meeting should be created.
Thanks so much.
@James Whitmarsh Then I guess there is some sync problem with your Outlook client. Essentially, the only way for users to successfully connect is to click the "Join Microsoft Teams Online Meeting" text-based link in the meeting details pain.
We had issues with this at first as well. You are correct with the option in Outlook that it only applies for members who are added after you check the box.
All users of the team got an email invite for the meeting. No users got an invite. Lastly are there any tools/utilities specifically for Teams that can scan and confirm the connectivity is correct? Note we also use Skype for Business in our organization and those meetings (whether scheduled or ad-hoc) work flawlessly. I had to switch to another computer and then the join button showed up. one Teams meeting didn't show in calendar. I found that guests to the team in which you schedule a channel meeting will receive an e-mail invite, however, members of the team (fom within your org) will not. September 22, 2020, by @jonjacobson. Also, with Teams (created via Teams) now hidden from the GAL, to invite the Team, you need to root around to get the email address for it. I tested again this morning with a Team that had this option off (which is the default). We are consistently unable to use Meetings. Assuming you already figured this out.
Search for your group (team name).

Was it a private or a channel meeting?
thanks
Then, I have to send an invitation to the rest during the meeting but this is exhausting and not practical.
As noted above, each meeting invite contains one toll number, one optional toll-free number and a link that opens the full list of all dial-in phone numbers that can be used to join a given meeting. Now, some would argue that if you're using Teams, then members of a Team would notice that there's a meeting scheduled in their Team and not need that calendar invite. It makes no sense for users to go outside Teams to do this.
Posted in - edited @BernhardScheuringer We are not setting this option in the Exchange Admin Center. This is correct!

For meetings, all media flows through online infrastructure.
This will then be enabled for all members. At least this is how it works for us. Same goes for the powershell commands!
We have same issue. There is also an option in this interface to "Add Skype meeting"; but we are in the process of transitioning folks from Skype for Business to Teams, so we really don't want to suggest that option. No, it should be added! It was last updated on 1/13/17.
When using Meet Now or a Scheduled meeting, you are connectin to the online Meeting Processors for the call. squinn86 I'm very impressed with the speed with which you addressed this.
The minute you start having to provide convoluted workarounds to what should be a simple process, you lose people.
on I have a feeling this functionality has changed recently, because I have created several Channel Meetings in the past, and every time, EVERY team member got a meeting invite through mail. The meeting coordinates (the Teams join link and dial-in numbers) will be added to the meeting invite after the user clicks Send. Thanks Linus - I've installed that but there's no difference (I created a meeting to test).
As one would expect, this sends each member an invitation so they can add it to their own Calendar (by accepting the invite). Connect and engage across your organization. on Yes I understood you meant VOIP calls.
Furthermore if you lateron disable this option, then the forwarding will be still enabled for users added in the timeframe where the option was enabled. September 22, 2020.

Teams meetings will show a join button on an event in your calendar five minutes before the start of a meeting.
This option appears to not be affected by the 'Subscribe New Members' check box in the Exchange Admin center. 04-08-2019 @James Whitmarsh Yes, that is Exchange Online.
As we had the option only enabled for a short time our strategy is now as follows: If you plan a meeting via Teams in a channel you have to invite all desired members manually.
This appears to be happening now, but was not in the past (early December). Let me know if I can provide more information. FWIW, I created the meeting by clicking the "Meet now" icon below the new message field in the Channel, then clicking "Schedule meeting".
@Doug Bartley For us the Exchange Admin Center Option only has an effect for users added after Enabling this option.
yeah, that's also how we advice to use meetings in channels now.
I am trying to go into the admin section and it is only showing a blank screen on my end. However, I can 100% confirm that using the Admin center option I mentioned will work for even users who are already members of the team.

I don't think the OP refers to a channel meeting, but a simple meeting scheduled in Teams that does not appear in its own Outlook client. escalated internally for investigation.. sorry about this!!
Is the syncing process taking more time than usual from microsoft side or is it a bug?
